Overview

This filter screen is an original component designed for the Cintropur NW 340 filter. With its 25 micron fineness, it traps soil, sand, rust and fine suspended particles in water. It is the essential consumable for maintaining filter performance over time.

Role in the filter

In a Cintropur, the centrifugal impeller first precipitates heavy particles to the bottom of the bowl. The filter screen then intervenes and stops remaining particles according to its fineness. A clean screen guarantees constant flow rate and low pressure drop. When it becomes clogged, flow rate decreases and protection of downstream equipment is reduced.

Why 25 microns

The 25 µm fineness ensures finer filtration than a 50 or 100 µm screen. It is suitable for protecting sensitive downstream equipment, such as a water softener, reverse osmosis unit or UV steriliser. As the screen retains more particles, it clogs faster than a model with larger mesh, especially on heavily loaded water.

Replacement

Thanks to the transparent bowl of the Cintropur, you can see directly when the screen is clogged. After closing the water inlet and depressurising the filter, remove the bowl, replace the screen and return to service. The operation takes a few minutes.

Compatibility

This screen is designed for the Cintropur NW 340, 1" 1/4 connection. Other models in the range (NW 280, NW 400, NW 500…) use screens of different dimensions. The DIMM team will help you identify the screen suitable for your filter.
