Brass for plumbing

Made of brass, this component offers good mechanical and corrosion resistance for domestic water, heating and irrigation networks. BSP threads ensure a sealed assembly with the other elements; sealing is completed with hemp, paste or PTFE tape as required.

Assembly & sealing

Threaded brass fittings are hand-tightened then wrench-tightened without forcing, to avoid damaging the threads. Taper threads are sealed with hemp and paste or PTFE tape; compression (olive) fittings clamp mechanically onto the tube, with no soldering or flame. Always check diameter and thread (BSP) compatibility before assembly, and check for leaks under pressure.
