A warehouse designed for professional standards

In 2020, DIMM tripled its storage space by inaugurating a modern facility, entirely designed to meet the highest standards of B2B logistics. The entire site is organized into functional zones: goods reception, rack storage, picking area, custom assembly lines, and shipping docks.

The warehouse is fully equipped with barcode scanning systems at every stage: reception, storage, picking, assembly, and loading. This end-to-end traceability ensures the reliability of every order and reduces the error rate to near zero.

The logistics process step by step

From goods reception to final shipment, every order follows a structured and controlled workflow:

1. Reception and quality control — Products are received, visually inspected, scanned, and stored in locations assigned by the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
2. Optimized storage — Over 15,000 m² divided into dedicated zones: water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, consumables, spare parts, chemicals, and accessories. High-turnover items are positioned for direct access.
3. Picking and preparation — Each order line is picked by scanning, ensuring conformity between the customer order and parcel contents. Bulky items (softeners, resin tanks, salt bins) are palletized separately.
4. Custom assembly — DIMM offers assembly of complete kits based on customer needs: softener + bypass + salt + fittings, or RO system + filter + faucet. This service allows our partners to receive ready-to-install solutions.
5. Packaging and protection — Special care is taken with packaging: stretch film, foam padding, protection for fragile parts (gauges, valves, electronics). The goal: zero damage on delivery.
6. Shipping and tracking — Parcels and pallets are handed over daily to our transport partners. Every shipment is tracked end-to-end, with tracking notifications sent to the customer.

4 loading docks for smooth operations

The Poperinge site has 4 loading/unloading docks on both sides of the building, designed to accommodate vehicles of all sizes simultaneously:

• Docks 1 & 2 — left side of the building, standard EUR height.
• Docks 3 & 4 — right side of the building, standard EUR height, trailers & semi-trailers.

Drivers report to the "DRIVERS" check-in point upon arrival. An agent directs them to the appropriate loading or unloading dock. This organization allows multiple deliveries and pickups to be processed in parallel, without excessive waiting.

A strategic location at the heart of the Franco-Belgian corridor

The DIMM warehouse is located in Poperinge, at the Franco-Belgian border, at the heart of a dense motorway network:

• From Belgium — E40 exit Ypres/Poperinge, then towards the industrial zone. Brussels 1h20, Ghent 50 min.
• From France — A25 Lille–Dunkirk, exit Steenvoorde, then N38 towards Poperinge (approximately 25 min). Lille 45 min.

This central position enables us to ensure fast deliveries across Belgium and France, as well as to the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Germany via the E40/E17/A25 corridors.

DIMM maintains a permanent stock of several thousand references covering our entire catalog:

• Domestic and industrial water softeners (ORUS, Utah, ATENA, K-Natur, Titanium Azure…)
• Reverse osmosis systems and direct-flow units (Cross Solo, Cross 90, Cross MAX, A2O…)
