The Fleck Fleck 3900 NXT industrial softener (bi-block (bottle + separate brine tank)) is designed for local authorities, the commercial sector, hospitality, industry and processes (boiler rooms, cooling towers, laundries, food industry). It removes hardness (calcium and magnesium) that scales up heat exchangers, boilers, pipes and equipment, protecting installations, reducing energy use and securing processes. It relies on a quality ion-exchange resin and a Fleck Fleck 3900 NXT valve with advanced NXT controller enabling networking of several valves and multi-tank management.

Configuration

In bi-block configuration, the resin tank and brine tank are separate, for flexible integration in the plant room and easy maintenance.

How it works

Hard water flows through the resin bed, which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: the water leaves softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve starts a brine regeneration (water + salt), counter-current with softened water on the relevant models, to fully restore exchange capacity while optimising salt and water use.

Installation & sizing

The unit is fitted on the main water supply, after the meter, with an isolation by-pass for maintenance. Sizing depends on inlet hardness (°f), peak flow and daily volume: our technicians help you select the right model and resin volume, plus options (meter, mixing, brine tank, floor, silex).

Quality & durability

High-pressure composite tank (PPO / reinforced fibre) corrosion-resistant, lead-free brass valve body compliant with ROHS and REACH on brass models, selected ion-exchange resin. Counter-current regeneration with softened water on the relevant ranges, for a clean system and reduced maintenance.

Fields of application

This industrial softener targets high-consumption networks: collective domestic hot-water production, steam-boiler and heating-circuit feed, cooling towers, laundries, food processing, cosmetics, surface treatment and pre-treatment ahead of reverse osmosis or demineralisation. By protecting exchangers and membranes from scaling, it improves process reliability and cuts operating costs.

Maintenance & service

Routine maintenance is limited to salt resupply, checking residual hardness and periodic valve inspection. Salt, silex & consumables

The softener runs on regeneration salt (tablets) kept in the brine tank. A silex bed (support gravel) is provided on large tanks for flow distribution. DIMM offers salt, silex, stainless ACS hoses, meters, mixing valves, cartridges and maintenance parts in the related products.
