Cintropur, 50 microns NW 400 (ref. CINTRO-FWVC050NW400)

Overview

This set includes 5 original filter screens for the Cintropur NW 400 filter. With their 50 micron fineness, they retain soil, sand, rust and other suspended particles in water. This is the essential consumable for maintaining filter performance over time.

Role in the filter

In a Cintropur, the centrifugal impeller first precipitates heavy particles to the bottom of the bowl. The filter screen then intervenes and stops remaining particles according to its fineness. A clean screen guarantees constant flow rate and low pressure drop. When it becomes clogged, flow rate decreases and protection of downstream equipment diminishes.

Why 50 microns

A fineness of 50 µm is a good compromise for general protective filtration. It retains common sediments whilst limiting replacement frequency. If water is heavily laden with fine particles, tighter fineness may be necessary. If particles are coarse, wider fineness extends replacement intervals.

Replacement

Thanks to the transparent bowl of the Cintropur, you can see directly when the screen is clogged. After closing the water inlet and depressurising the filter, remove the bowl, replace the screen and return to service. The operation takes a few minutes.

Compatibility

These screens are designed for the Cintropur NW 400, 1" 1/2 connection. Other models in the range (NW 280, NW 340, NW 500…) use screens of different dimensions. The DIMM team will help you identify the screen suited to your filter.
