Overview
AdouClean+ is the regenerating resin cleaner for water softeners that replaces Res-Up in the DIMM range. Added at the moment of regeneration, it maintains the ion-exchange resin — the heart of the softener — to preserve its exchange capacity and extend its service life.
Over time, the resin becomes loaded with iron, manganese, organic matter and deposits that clog the pores of the beads and form fouling (slime, biofilm). The result: resin that softens less well, less effective regeneration and rising salt consumption. AdouClean+ acts precisely on this fouling.

Why clean the resin?
The resin is a porous media: each bead is criss-crossed with micro-pores where calcium and magnesium fix. These same pores also retain, over the cycles, impurities that plain salt brine cannot flush out:
- Iron & manganese — common in borehole water, they "clog" and colour the resin.
- Organic matter & tannins — they coat the beads and reduce exchange.
- Slime & biofilm — biological deposits that settle in the tank and the media.
Fouled resin loses effectiveness: water hardens faster, regeneration is needed more often, so more salt and water are consumed. Periodic cleaning reverses this drift.

⚠️ Compatibility
Like any resin cleaner, AdouClean+ is intended for softener ion-exchange resins. It is not for use on certain specific media (e.g. zeolite gel) nor as a salt substitute. Always follow the label instructions and your installation's compatibility.
How to use it
- Curative cleaning (heavily fouled resin): a reinforced dose over a few regenerations to "decrud" the media.
- Preventive maintenance: a regular maintenance dose, at each regeneration or on a programmed frequency, to keep the resin clean.
- Application: the product is introduced into the brine circuit and drawn into the resin during regeneration. A feeder can automate the addition at each cycle.
The exact dosage depends on the resin volume and the fouling level (iron, organics): follow the AdouClean+ label dosage recommendations.
